Before your pet's spay or neuter surgery, follow these instructions carefully for the safety and well being of you and your pet.

If your pet has already been vaccinated against rabies, bring the original, signed rabies certificate to the clinic with you. A rabies tag is not acceptable proof of vaccination. If you do not have proof of rabies vaccination, we will vaccinate your pet at an additional cost
You are welcome to bring any other medical records with you to help us determine your pet’s other vaccination needs, but it’s not a requirement. Please see the vaccine and service costs on our Vaccination Services page.
If you have a female dog that is actively bleeding during a heat cycle, your pet may be declined for surgery and your appointment rescheduled for a later date.
An exam is part of the surgical preparation process. If the veterinarian declines your pet for any reason including signs of illness or physical issues that could cause surgical complications, your deposit will be applied to the exam fee.
Everyone arrives for check-in and check-out at the same time. Please have your completed surgery forms ready or pick up surgery paperwork upon arrival. Completing forms before you arrive will help to decrease wait times.
Don’t forget to confirm the location of the clinic so that you will know how to get there and allow enough time, as we cannot always accept late arrivals. We have multiple locations, mobile clinics and pet transports so please write down the time that is given to you when you schedule your appointment.
Services such as vaccinations can be added when you check-in at your appointment for an additional fee.
If you arrive after the given check in time, you may be charged a late fee.
CATS must each be in a separate secure hard carrier. Please check all latches and clasps while indoors and in a safe environment. For transports: Cats brought in a soft carrier will be given a cardboard carrier for an additional cost.
Dogs must be on a secure leash that he cannot slip out of or in a hard carrier.
If you drive a pick-up truck, please note that we are not allowed to release a pet after surgery that is not put inside the cab or into a secured crate in the back. This is for your pet’s safety and the safety of other drivers as your pet is very likely to be disoriented after surgery.
