VOLUNTEER POSITION EXAMPLES

• Clinic Client Ambassador

  The Clinic Client Ambassador greets and assists clients during the check-in process to ensure they understand the services and pricing they are selecting. These volunteers may also aid the front desk staff with phone calls, passing out paperwork and maintaining the front lobby. 

• Clinic Pet Ambassador

  The Clinic Pet Ambassador assists staff during and after the check-in process with basic tasks like weighing animals and attaching ID bands. The Pet Ambassador also helps keep pets calm, cleans surgical instruments, wraps surgical instruments, unboxes and prepares supplies, and monitors pets prior to surgery.

• Events Ambassador

  The Events Ambassador is public focused on pets and people. Volunteer opportunities include vaccine clinics, community outreach tabling at events and fundraising events!

  This position could include multiple duties depending on the event such as, helping clients with questions and pets, helping set up and run fundraising events, working game booths and more. 

• Anesthetic Recovery / Post Op Volunteer

  Volunteers in this role must have experience in an animal clinic setting and will assist the Surgery Technicians with:  Preoperative exams on dogs and cats, Setting up surgery suite for surgery, Recovering and monitoring patient’s post-surgery; monitoring vitals, which may include checking temperature; extubating patients and cleaning kennels to ensure no animal is in soiled cages. 

• Community Service for School & Court Programs

  SNN offers opportunities for individuals to volunteer and fulfil court-appointed, probation service hours or hours required for any other reason. (school or service organizations) Come for the hours, stay a volunteer for the fun!
