Community / Feral Cat Services

Spay and Neuter programs for free roaming cats

By offering free or low-cost spay/neuter for free roaming cats, Spay Neuter Network is empowering our communities to care responsibly for community cat colonies and preventing overpopulation as humanely as possible.

If clinics are at capacity, cats may be held until the next day. Please note that if you bring a cat that is found to already be spayed or neutered, grant funding will not pick up the cost associated with the services rendered. You will be responsible for all services performed.

The average cost of these surgeries to Spay Neuter Network, without vaccines or ear tip, is $100 per cat. Please consider donating and getting others to donate. It is the only way we can continue these lifesaving programs. The longer we wait, the more kittens we will see roaming the streets.

Dallas Targeted Community Cat Program

Dallas Pets Alive, Dallas Animal Services, Operation Kindness, Feral Friends and Spay Neuter Network have come together to provide TNR resources to Dallas neighborhoods that have been identified as having a large community cat population. DAS has been collecting Cat Census data to determine the neighborhoods with the highest outdoor cat population. Once a neighborhood is chosen, we will work to TNR all outdoor cats in that neighborhood going block by block to fix the problem for good before moving to another neighborhood. We believe that using high intensity TNR strategy is the most effective in reducing population size but also minimize preventable deaths.

If you have a large community cat population in your neighborhood that needs help with spay/neuter, make sure to report to city of Dallas 311 so that data can be collected to help us determine the next areas of need.

Funding for this program provided by the Byrne Family Foundation.
