Happy Tails: A Chance Encounter Brings Lady May to Her Forever Home

One day, Sean was outside his house when a stray dog wandered up to him. The dog was scared and started to turn away, but a car approached so she turned around and ran back to Sean. Sean’s family spent a few weeks trying to find her owner. They put up flyers and took her to a vet to have her scanned for a microchip. But they couldn’t locate her owner. So, Sean and his family decided to make her a part of his family.

“She’s a cuddler and we have fallen in love with her,” said Sean. “She’s the dog we didn’t need, but didn’t know we needed.”

Sean reached out to Spay Neuter Network for support. Thanks to the support of our community partners and generous donors, we provided three-month-old Lady May with a low-cost spay, rabies vaccination, and microchip.

“This is amazing to find this kind of help in our neighborhood,” said Sean. “We are very happy we can keep her and take care of her.”
