When six-month-old Stevie came to our Dallas clinic, Christi said they already had several pets, but they took Stevie in as a tiny kitten during the February winter storm that took out power and stranded people all over North Texas. They intended to find him a home, but, of course, fell in love with this sweet-natured kitty. Knowing that the family had several pets they needed to care for already and that finances were tight, our staff in the Dallas clinic chose Stevie to receive vaccinations and neuter at no cost to his family through our Act of Kindness” program. This program helps people in our community and gives our staff a chance to live our mission by helping a new family every month. Through generous donations, we were able to get Stevie fixed for free…. Will you donate to support the next pet in need?
Two bearded dragons find a new home
Two bearded dragons find a new home
Chamelyne had to leave her apartment ASAP and had to surrender her two bearded dragons. Within days the Pet Support and Resource Center was able to rehome the bearded dragons. Spay Neuter Network employee Brandy took one bearded dragon home and her friend took the other one. Both beardies (renamed Reptar and Jonathan) are happy with families who love them.
These are the happily-ever-after stories we hope to create for pets every day.
Our Pet Support & Resource Center is an award-winning partnership with the City of Dallas and Dallas Animal Services to provide alternatives to surrendering a pet to the city shelter. Through this program, Spay Neuter Network provides services and resources to keep pets in their homes; helps pet owners rehome their pets on their own if needed; or routes pets to our local rescue partners for quicker adoptions.

Coco’s owner had to move and didn’t want to surrender Coco but did not have the money for the pet deposit. Her case was transferred to Dallas Pets Alive and they were able to provide her with the pet deposit she needed to keep Coco with her.

A little help for Peek a Boo, Sam and Bruno
A little help for Peek a Boo, Sam and Bruno
John brought his three pets (Peek a Boo, Sam, and Bruno) to the Crandall clinic for preventative mediation. John desperately needed help controlling the flea problem. Through our Random Act of Kindness program, we were able to give all 3 pets a supply of Comfortis for free. He was very grateful! We are delighted to be able to help people in need.
